MEET OUR FOUNDER

Dr. Shenin Sachedina D.O.,FACOS

Dr. Shenin Sachedina, D.O., FACOS, is a board-certified breast surgeon, global health advocate, author, and founder of Ub3e—a platform built to Engage • Educate • Empower communities around the world.

Born in Masaka, Uganda in 1963, Dr. Sachedina immigrated to the United States in 1972. Her journey is one defined by resilience, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to service. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Aurora University in 1985 and went on to receive her medical degree from Midwestern University in 1990.

In 1995, she founded the Central Florida Breast Center, where she has spent decades caring for patients with compassion, expertise, and a deep understanding of the human side of medicine. As a surgeon, she has not only treated disease—but has walked alongside her patients through some of their most vulnerable moments, becoming a trusted guide in their journey toward healing.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Sachedina’s impact extends far beyond borders.

She is the visionary behind Ub3e, a global philanthropic platform transforming how breast health education and access are delivered in underserved communities. Through Ub3e, she has developed and implemented innovative initiatives such as the “If You Feel Something, Say Something” breast wellness and triage program—designed to identify high-risk patients early and shift diagnoses from late-stage disease to early, treatable stages.

Her work spans continents—partnering with ministries of health, hospitals, and local leaders across Belize, Africa, India, and Nepal. Through technology-enabled training, she equips healthcare providers with practical tools to triage, educate, and fast-track care—creating sustainable systems that continue long after initial implementation.

Dr. Sachedina’s philosophy is simple, yet powerful:

Access changes everything.

She believes that true impact is created not just by building programs—but by building people. Through Ub3e, she has created a pathway for physicians, professionals, and communities to come together and extend their purpose beyond traditional boundaries—proving that experience does not retire, and purpose does not expire.

In addition to her global work, Dr. Sachedina is also the founder of the WeMentorU website , designed to foster mentorship, connection, and growth. As the author of the Metu & Lee book series, she brings complex medical conversations into homes with clarity and compassion—helping children and families navigate illness with understanding rather than fear.

At the heart of everything she does is her family. She is a devoted mother to two wonderful children and shares her life with a deeply supportive husband—whose encouragement and belief in her mission have been instrumental in allowing her to pursue her work both locally and globally. Their support is the foundation that enables her to continue expanding her impact.

Her life’s work is deeply rooted in faith, service, and the belief that education is one of the most powerful tools we can offer the world. Whether she is in the operating room, mentoring future leaders, or building programs across continents, her mission remains the same:

To create a world where knowledge is accessible, communities are empowered, and no one is left behind.
